Fitting/Choosing a new Western saddle?

I’m looking into possibly getting a new saddle. I would like to get a saddle that has some silver, or the space to put my own silver on, but i don’t want it to be too expensive, and preferably black. I have a small Thoroughbred, she is only around 15 something hands. How would you measure whether it’s full-Quarter horse bars/Semi- Quarter horse bars? the one i have now is a bit tight on her, but with thinner saddle pad that’s about 1/2 inch to a whole inch, it fits. Which would be the best brand to get, and why? and where could i find this? thank you so much, sorry, didn’t expect fro the question to be so long! :)

Well, in your first question you ask how you would measure ‘it.’ By ‘it’ I’m assuming you mean the saddle…?
Anyways..

Here it says that semi-quarter horse bars are 6,” and full-quarter horse bars are 6 1/4-6 1/2″
So all you have to do is measure across the gullet.

So there's your first answer. (I hope. Haha.)

I definitely recommend Circle Y! They are durable and sturdy! And very reasonably priced.

This is the Circle Y site. I hope you can find something here.

If Circle Y doesn't work for you, my next choice would be Billy Cook saddles.
His are also very sturdy and durable, pretty easy on the wallet to!

I hope I helped to some point! Good luck :)
